June/July Slantbox Reveal :)

Over the summer, I was paired up for my super, fun-filled teacher swap with Arielle over at Technically a Media Specialist. Her blog is so stinkin' adorable! I love reading about all the cool technology she uses and wish I knew how to do so much! She inspires me to want to bring so much more awesome technology in my classroom! And we both learned that we have so much in common! I have had some amazing swap partners these last few months, who I know I will talk to long after our monthly swap is over :) I am so lucky to meet such lovely ladies through Slantbox exchanges!

The theme for the Slantbox Swap in June/July was to send your partner a box full of Sunshine. Arielle packed my box full of bright colored items as well as things that would bring me personal sunshine. Let me just tell you, my box is amazing!!

If you're unfamiliar with the Slantbox Swap, you can check it out here on Jameson's blog Lesson's with Coffee. September sign-ups are open until September 3rd! It's super fun!

So here's what Arielle sent me in my box:

Here's the adorable card she sent. Dr. Suess makes me smile!

We both have dogs, so she knows how to make my puppies smile! They love this toy/treat! They've been taking turns playing with it :)

I am a fashion and jewelry lover, and these earrings are ones that I would've picked out myself! They are so bright and cheerful and too cute to boot! I LOVE them! I've already worn them and know they will get worn a ton more!

I am so excited that Arielle included this book in my box! I have been wanting to read this so much! I know it will have me laughing my tail-feathers off!

I absolutely love this saying. I recently bought a picture of this to hang in my house so that I could see it every morning :)

These stickers are to brighten mine and my students' days!

And I love these sunny paperclips! They are so adorable! They did NOT stay in the package long! I kept these at home for myself and have been using them for everything! I <3 them!

Arielle, thank you so much for my amazing SLANTbox! I LOVE it! You know me so well! It was so thoughtful! So happy to have been paired up with you and to have gotten to know you over the summer! :)

Educator friends, think about joining the September Slantbox swap!

April Slantbox Reveal

Let me start off by saying that this post should have been up a long while ago! It's been a strange two months for me with my new migraine medications and side effects from those. I will post about that later. But I just want to say that my April Slantbox match, Carol over at Super Sparkly in Second, is the sweetest!

Meet the Teacher
This is Carol :) Hi, Carol!!

You definitely need to check out her adorable blog! She sent me the most fun and adorable box of goodies! I absolutely loved it and have been using everything in it ever since I got it :)

The theme for the Slantbox Swap in April was to send your partner a box based on one of your favorite books. After you chose a book you wanted to send your partner, you found items to fill their box that fit the theme and the happenings in the book. I loved the theme of this box! It was so much fun! Probably one of my favorite themes, as well as June's theme (all about your swap partner!).

If you're unfamiliar with the Slantbox Swap, you can check it out here on Jameson's blog Lesson's with Coffee:

The SLANT Box Exchange

There are still a few days to sign up if you in any way work in the education field: teacher, teacher's assistant, librarian, substitute teacher, etc. If you think you might be interested, you should definitely sign up! It's tons of fun!

The box that Carol sent me was fantastic! Here was what she sent:

The book she sent was

This book is so fun! I have been jumping around reading different parts! It's so fun and colorful and has cute little doodles in it as you go! I love it!

These stickers are awesome! They smell like chocolate!!

This little book is full of inspirational quotes that I can stand up on my desk. I love a good inspirational quote! Below are two of my favorites so far!

Aagghhh! It's Goethe!! I love Germans!! And I love Goethe! (On another topic: if you've never heard an explanation of my ginkgo leaf tattoo, it has to do with Goethe!!)

I love these markers! I've used them so much in my art journal!
And that stamp is going to get used so much in my classroom next year!

Carol, thank you so much for my awesome Slantbox!

March SlantBox Reveal!

I love participating in the SlantBox exchange that the fabulous Jameson over at Lessons with Coffee has put together!
The SLANT Box Exchange

It's a great way to get to know other educators or people in a teaching-related field. You get matched with a partner for the month, email back and forth to get to know each other, and then at the end of the month, send each other a box of goodies based on a theme.

This past March was the fourth time that I participated in the SlantBox exchange. It was so much fun! I was paired up with Maja from Kooky Kinders. You have to go check out her blog! It is adorable! She is the coolest kindergarten teacher ever! She dresses up for her students, makes cool food crafts, and her students always look like they are having a blast! On her blog she writes about the fun happenings in her class. You need to check it out!

I loved getting to know Maja! We have so much in common! I feel like I've known her forever! She seems like an old friend, who I just haven't talk to in awhile. We both love our students and teaching, thrifting and antiquing, and our puppy boys!! I would love to go antiquing with her! I think we'd have a blast!! :) I love that I've met a new friend that I will have forever! I am so happy I met you Maja!

Here is a peek at the amazing box she sent me!

There were these Big Softie letters in Cincinnati Bearcats colors! I can't wait to use them in my art journaling and a new little display I'm making at school ;)

Aren't these stickers the cutest? I love them! I mean, those squirrels, right?!

I love this little journal! The pattern on the cover and the inside paper is adorable! I can't wait to write blog ideas inside! I've been wanting a place to write down random ideas that I have for new blog posts. I've already got it in my purse ready to go! If an idea ever pops up when I'm out and about, I have a perfect place to jot down ideas! It's the perfect travel size!

Last year Bjorn and I landscaped our front yard, and I love the way everything is growing in this spring! I can't wait to go out and put flowers on my porch and start making it look even more beautiful now that the weather is getting nicer! I know just the perfect place to hang this outside! And I am so glad Maja sent this :) I'll have something in my garden to always remind me of her!

This pencil sharper is perfect! I already took it to school, and my students are obsessed with it! They have a waiting line to use it, so we have to take turns while they're working to use it! There are holes across the entire head of the pencil sharpener that allows for 7 pencils to be held and you can sharpen them too!

I love this little guy! He is symbol of luck, and I am always going to keep him with me as such. I can't wait to find a little chain for him and wear him! He's too stinkin' cute!!

And the last two things that I got in my box were chocolate!! I did eat the chocolate, however, before I managed to take pictures of it! Oops! It was so good! Maja sent me these two to enjoy:

Maja, thank you so much for my box! It is awesome! I love it!

I am so glad I got to meet Maja and make such a sweet friend!

Happy SlantBox!
